Questions about the tour

Can I take photos during the tour?: No, recording video or audio is not permitted during the tour. There are some areas where photography is permitted.

Can children take the tour? Is there an age limit?: There is no age limit. The tour is designed so that students in the upper grades of elementary school are able to understand and enjoy it, but many small children have taken the tour. Children 9 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What languages are tours conducted in?: For individual or small group reservations made through the website, tours are guided in Japanese, but there are sections where audio guidance or video subtitles are available in English or Chinese.
For large groups of 20 or more people, please inform us when making your reservation if you would like the tour to be conducted in Japanese, English or Chinese.

*In either case, please let us know beforehand if you would like assistance in a language other than Japanese.

Is it possible to ask questions during the tour?: Yes, but please understand that it may not be possible to answer every question for the sake of the progress of the tour.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?: Wear whatever you like. You will be staying inside the facility during the tour, which is air conditioned and safe.

How long do I have to walk during the tour?: The tour is 80 minutes long. There are chairs for watching videos. There may not be enough seats if it is crowded, so please make space for each other.

Questions about the facility

Can I take the tour in a wheelchair or with a stroller?: Yes. You can take the tour in a wheelchair or with a stroller.

Is there a place to change babies’ diapers?: Yes. We have a multipurpose restroom with a diaper changing table.

Do you have parking?: We have parking in front of the main entrance for those who made reservations through the internet, but space is limited.
If you are coming by bus as a part of an exclusive group tour, please tell us when making your reservation. We will explain where to park.

Do you have bicycle or motorcycle parking?: There is employee parking for bicycles and motorcycles, but we cannot guarantee that there will be spaces available, and we are not responsible for damage, theft, or other incidents.

Can I leave my bag or suitcase somewhere during the tour?: Yes. We have lockers you can use for free. Also, you can check large luggage in the cloakroom.

Is there a place to eat?: We are sorry, but there is not.
The company cafeteria is not open to the public.

Can I buy Yamato souvenirs?: We are sorry, but currently we do not sell any souvenirs.

Can I use a conference room?: No. Our conference rooms are not open to the public.

Questions about reservations

Can I join a tour on the day, without a reservation?: You can join if there is a vacancy. Please call us so we can check it for you.

How do I change the date or time of the tour that I booked?: Please cancel the reservation that you made and make a new one. You can do it up until the day before the reservation date.

Is it possible to change the number of people that I booked?: To add more people: Check if there is still space available, and then make a reservation for the additional people.
Please call us to reduce the number of people in your party.

Do you offer a preview of the group tour?: If you would like a preview of the group tour, please come to the regular tour. Please make a reservation through the internet.
